Altus commissioned the Tuan facility in 2014 and has since exported over 350,000 metric tonnes of high quality wood pellets to renewable energy markets in Europe and Asia. The Tuan facility sources premium wood fibre from well established forestry and timber businesses in the southeast Queensland region. Fibre suppliers include the regions two major softwood sawmills and wood chip sourced from the regions plantation harvesting operations. All of Altus' wood pellets carry 100% PEFC Chain of Custody Certification and are sourced from FSC certified commercially grown plantation resources. Wood pellets are transported by truck to the Port of Bundaberg where they are stockpiled in a purpose built storage and export facility.
